Meet the teacher - Tom Smith

Where are you from?

 I’m from Inverness in the north of Scotland.

How long have you been in Barcelona? And how long have you been working in

Cambridge School?

I’ve been living in Barcelona and working at Cambridge School since January 2018.

What did you do before coming to Spain?

Before I came to Spain I was a professional footballer for two years, a student for four years and then a geologist for two years. 

How are you enjoying working here in Parets?

Parets is a beautiful town with lovely people!

Do you have any hobbies?

I do a lot of cycling, as well as playing a lot of tennis and football

N6 - Fun ways to learn vocabulary

Vicky's N6 group

In class N6 were studying ´things we are good at´ in relation to subjects at school.

                                                  

Students played a flashcard game where they had to listen to a song and 

jump to the flashcard of the subject they hear.

 Then they had to do a matching pelmanism with the words to the pictures.

                                          Finally the game at the end was the ´missing spaceship words´ 
                                       where they had to play hangman and spell the subject correctly 
                                                 in order to win points for their team.

FCE speaking practice

Noel's FCE summer intensive group have been practising their speaking skills! This is important for preparation for the FCE exam here at Cambridge School. We have a very high pass rate and thanks to our communicative methodology with native teachers, our students do expecially well in their speaking exams. Check out their progress here and here.
